Kelsey has always had a passion and love for the vine. She grew up in northern California, America’s wine country, which allowed her to expand her knowledge of wine. She has years of experience working in the Food and Beverage Industry, starting her career in fine dining restaurants and quickly moving to the top of Food and Beverage Departments for large hotel chains. For example, Kelsey led the staff for the Sheraton Grand Hotel of Sacramento and the Hyatt Hotel of Buffalo. There, she assembled and oversaw the wine selections.
After the birth of her daughter Addison, Kelsey took some time off to be a mom. However, because of Kelsey’s eagerness to learn, she began to focus heavily on attaining wine knowledge and started to pursue becoming a Certified Sommelier with The Court of Master Sommeliers. Kelsey quickly qualified for her Introductory Certificate. This put her on a long and tedious path of studying to be a Certified Sommelier. After many long hours and hundreds of tastings, Kelsey completed her Certified Sommelier exam!
Now as one of just a few Sommeliers in Buffalo, NY, Kelsey is a wine consultant at The Winebow Group. She is passionate to help people appreciate the complexity of wine by offering her expertise. Kelsey has a gift to help people learn and understand the difficulty of wine with a very simple approach.
Kelsey doesn’t just teach people how to KNOW wine, she teaches people how to LOVE wine.
